Nestled in the heart of San Diego’s renowned Mission Hills neighborhood, this Spanish Revival home has special meaning and brings with it fond memories for my client who grew up here over four decades ago. Her goal for the primary bedroom was to be a space to find comfort and calmness at the end of a busy day. Our design objective was to add a touch of femininity by implementing a soothing, ethereal color scheme, organic textures, and sophisticated fabrics. We mixed in aged-brass finishes with light-toned furnishings to coordinate with the existing crystal chandelier that was restored to its original beauty. Custom rose-petal, striped linen and sheer ivory drapery were expertly finished adding visual height and a sense of luxury in the space. A king-sized pink velvet upholstered bed frame with a curved, caned headboard centers the space and is anchored by a cozy, nubby boucle bench.
